Karen Kay Collins Forshey

Karen Kay Collins Forshey, 74, of Maryville, passed away at home in Maryville on September 26, 2023.  Karen was born February 2, 1949, in Maryville, MO.

Karen grew up in Parnell, Missouri, and after graduating from High School in Ravenwood, Missouri, moved to Kansas City where she spent most of her adult life. Following her retirement, she moved back to the area.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, H.D. and Dorothy Collins; husbands, Gene Deuchars and Ted Forshey; her son Ryan Deuchars; and her brother, Ron Collins

Karen was a loving mother and aunt who enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and hunting and fishing. She was also an avid Chiefs fan and enjoyed cheering them to victory is eating her homemade chili. She is survived by her niece, Stefanie (Barry) Lyle; nephew, Greg (Renae) Collins; and their children, Abigail Lyle and Tanner and Rylie Collins, and sister-in-law Barbara Collins, special cousins Carol (Gary) and Connie (Chuck) Hill, as well as numerous other relatives.

At her request, there will be no visitation or service. Private graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Parnell, Missouri.

Memorials can be sent to Rose Hill Cemetery for the care and upkeep of the grounds.
