Robert Darrah, 72, passed away on Jan. 25, 2024, in St. Joseph. He was born on Aug. 13, 1951, in Chariton, Iowa.

Robert attended Northwest Missouri State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He had a professional life as a lifelong antiquer which included manager at Jesse James Antique Mall. His keen eye for treasures and the history they held brought joy to both colleagues and customers. His passion of baking and cooking was enjoyed by many.

He leaves behind his siblings, Janis Weed (Mike) and David Johnston (Kristine); nephews and niece, Cody (Heather), Derek (Erin), Marissa, and Marly Johnston.

Preceded in death by his mother, Davadean; and grandmother, Hazel Hartley Nichols, his nurturing grandmother who raised him with love and grace. Robert’s legacy of warmth and humor will live on through his family and friends.

The family will gather with friends 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
