He was born August 9, 1943 in Washington D. C. to Robert Wight and Helen (Webb) Anderson, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dan Anderson and wife, Judy; great- uncle, Emmett and great-aunt Lela Tannehill and great-aunt Ludema Tannehill.

Robert was an exceptional God-made person. He was raised on his Uncle Emmett’s farm and loved that farm until the day he passed. He graduated from Union Star, MO school in 1961 and
was so proud of his school. Robert worked at Continental Can as a machinist in the maintenance department. He accidentally became an over-the-road truck driver and that
became the second passion of his life. He has many stories of his travel cross country. He had a wild story side and told stories for hours for many a weary truck driver. He had a jovial side and
enjoyed the simple things in life. He had an eye and heart for God’s creation seeing the beauty of sunsets, sunrise, fields that were covered with crops and cleared fields afterwards and
wildlife. He saw so much of God in every little thing.

He loved his country, serving in the Air Force 1961 – 1965 and was stationed as a Chaplain Service Specialist in Goose Bay, Labrador. He loved the flag and the great land it stood for. He was a member of the American Legion Post #132, King City, MO. Robert was a devout Christian attending Union Star United Methodist Church and the First Baptist Church. His father, Robert Sr. and brother, Dan and Joyce were pastors – he the evangelist.
Robert felt his calling was to help people and was always prepared with a pickup full of helps for anyone and everyone. He loved people and loved talking to them and helping them. He had friends he grew up with that he continually said he would give his life for them. He loved his little town of Union Star and was so proud these last few years that he could work for the City.

He is survived by his beloved partner, Joyce Mercer; his son, Robert Wayne Anderson, Union Star, MO; his daughter, Teresa (Todd) Allen, Saginaw, TX; six grandchildren; 10 great-
