Lawson, MO: Sally Bashor, 97, Lawson, MO passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at a
Lawson, MO nursing home.
She was born on February 8, 1926 in Ford City, Missouri the daughter of Henry Oliver and
Jessie Marie (Baker) Walters.
Sally was a graduate of Albany High School. She worked many jobs over the years such as
sewing military bags, factory jobs, waitressing and farming. From a young child she loved
working on the farm with her parents and brother, Harvey. She was a longtime member of the
“Red Hatters”, and other community groups in the King City and Independence areas. She was
also a recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
Sally is survived by her sister, Vesta Tunks, Maysville, MO; granddaughter, Heather (Tanya)
Booth, Kansas City, MO; granddaughter, Abby Booth, Lathrop, MO; great grandchildren, Caden,
Carlisle, and Mikayla, Independence, MO; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gwendolyn Walters; brothers, Perry
Walters and Harvey Walters; sister, Molly Faulconer, and her son, Russell Booth.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 5 at Roberson Funeral Home,
King City, MO. Burial will follow in Ford City Cemetery, Ford City, MO. The family will receive
friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home where friends may call after 9:00
