Sherry Ann Clark, 63, Mercer, MO went to her eternal home on Saturday, November 13, 2021 under the tender care of Harrison County Hospice and the excellent services provided by the staff of Pearl’s II Eden for Elders in Princeton, MO.

Sherry was born in Davenport, Iowa on June 21, 1958 to Lesser Voy and Hazel Lorraine (Fisher) Dykes and relocated to Mercer as a young child.

She married Roger R. Clark on December 31, 1975 and they became parents to Reta Ann. Sherry worked at various jobs and had an excellent work ethic.

Sherry and her dog walked many miles searching for Indian artifacts. By her request, that collection was donated to the Wayne County Museum in Corydon, Iowa.

Sherry had a giving heart and took in many injured and stray animals including wildlife. A vet once wrote an article in a trade magazine about her success in saving a pet pig using Sprite soda.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; daughter, Reta; mother and father; brother, John; paternal grandparents, Mae Owens and Voy Dykes; her maternal grandparents; several aunts and uncles and several pets.

Sherry is survived by her cousin, Charles Ball and his family; cousin-in-law, Jeff Snyder; her cats, Toby Loco and Little Girl; a host of friends including Aaron and Darcy Moore; and her very special friends, Terry and Kirk Ellis and Payton and Suzanne Goette who worked diligently to honor her final requests and gave her a great deal of comfort in her final days.

Sherry has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Princeton, MO.

Her cremains will be laid to rest next to her beloved daughter, Reta in a private service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
