Pet Of The Week – Cooper

There is nothing that can bring a smile to your face and a song to your heart quite like the love of a happy dog, and Cooper is about as happy a pup as you could ever hope to meet!

Cooper, an adorable Beagle mix who appears to be only about 1 year old, was found wandering the streets with another dog who we believe to be his sister. Being a pup on your own is tough enough in ideal conditions, but in the cold and snow it is especially hard and Cooper and his sister, Willow, were quite relieved to be rescued and brought to the shelter where they would be safe, warm, well-fed, and loved.

Cooper is a playful, perpetually happy pup who loves everyone meets. If you make eye contact with him you are instantly his best friend! He is super sweet, potty-trained, and does well with other dogs. Cooper is a wonderful mix of loyalty and joy who loves going outside to play. He is well-behaved and quiet in his kennel and is a fastidious housekeeper who always keeps his kennel clean! Cooper only weighs about 30 pounds, so if you are looking for a medium-sized best friend for your family Cooper will certainly fit the bill.

If Cooper could describe his perfect Forever Home he would tell us that he would like to be an indoor dog (remember, this smart boy is already potty-trained!) with a family who would adore him and spend lots of time with him. He would love to accompany his family on long, leashed walks and be a part of all their activities. And of course, a securely fenced yard to run and play in would also be on Cooper’s wish list. Cooper loves other dogs and would be very happy to have a canine companion in his new home, and he would also be quite happy in a home with gentle children; he would be a great dog for a child to have as their loyal companion as they grow up!

Cooper will go to his Forever Home neutered, dewormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. He is a pup who is overflowing with love to share; could he share it with you?
