Pet Of The Week – Decker

If you would like to get to share your life with the most loyal friend you could ever hope for, then you need to meet Decker! Decker is a Great Pyrenees/Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix who is approximately 6 years old, and longing for a family to watch over, protect and love.

Decker was relinquished to Green Hills Animal Shelter almost a year ago, and during that time he has absolutely stolen the hearts of the shelter staff and volunteers. He is lovely, gentle, and the perfect example of love, loyalty, and devotion. Decker loves people and everyone he meets is his friend, and once you are his person you own his heart and his whole life will revolve around you. He is very, very smart, 100% potty trained, and this good boy loves a good bum scratch along with his petting.

If Decker could describe his perfect Forever Home he would ask to be an indoor dog so that he can be close to his family at all times. He would also enjoy having a large, securely fenced yard so that he can enjoy the outdoors with his people without being tempted to roam. Decker is long-haired, so he will need a family who is willing to brush and groom him regularly. He would very much enjoy going on leashed walks with his family, and a good bum scratch now and then would make him oh, so happy. Decker might even enjoy having a canine friend in his Forever Home although we would suggest, as we do with all dogs, that he get to meet any potential canine siblings prior to adoption to ensure that they will be the best of friends.

Decker will go to his Forever Home neutered, dewormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. He is the most loyal friend you could ever hope to have; could you make his dream of a Forever Home and Family come true?
