Pet Of The Week – Dingo

What do you get when you combine two of the most beloved dog breeds of all time; the Golden Retriever and the Labrador Retriever? You get Dingo!

Dingo is an amazing mix of love and loyalty who, before coming to Green Hills Animal Shelter, had a home of his own where he was much loved. But, as we so often say, life sometimes throws curves and through no fault of Dingo’s his owner had to make the tough decision to surrender him to the shelter where, from the moment he arrived, Dingo began stealing hearts and spreading smiles to the shelter staff and volunteers.

Dingo is a happy, friendly boy who is sweet, affectionate, and very, very loving. He adores attention and there is nothing Dingo enjoys more than being with his people. At approximately 1-2 years old, Dingo is still young and always enjoys a good romp in the shelter play yard followed by all the cuddles and love he can get! Asked to choose between the two though, Dingo would pick the love and cuddles every single time. He is super smart and his intelligence, coupled with his desire to please, means that Dingo loves to learn and learns quickly. This smart boy is already house-trained and keeps a tidy kennel at the shelter. He gets along well with other dogs and doesn’t mind the shelter cats.

If Dingo could describe his perfect Forever Home he would ask to be adopted by a person or family who will make him the center of their universe. He would love to be an indoor dog so he could spend as much time as possible with his family, and of course, he would enjoy having a securely fenced yard where he could run and play and perhaps engage in a game of fetch. Dingo would very much love having a human who would take him on adventures and then come home and let him crash next to them on the couch while he dreams of the wonderful day you had together. Dingo would be very happy in a home with children, and he would also be quite happy to share his home with another canine or perhaps even a kitty friend who would enjoy his company.

Dingo will go to his Forever Home neutered, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. He is a bundle of love who just needs a family of his own to make his life complete; could that family be yours?
