Pet Of The Week – Jacks

October 1, 2023, was National Black Dog Day, and Jacks, a gorgeous black German Shepherd Dog mix, would be a picture-perfect model for this day, which was established to remind us all that black dogs are delightfully fun, enjoyable pets who make great companions, playmates, and best friends!

We don’t know what Jacks’ past looks like as he was found wandering alone and brought to the shelter, but we do know this: Jacks will be an amazing addition to any family! Jacks, who is only about 2 years old, is a super sweet boy who loves everyone he meets. He is playful and smart and loves learning things from his people. Jacks is the perfect combination of a loyal friend who loves watching over those he loves and a silly goofball who loves belly rubs.

If Jacks could describe his perfect Forever Home he would ask to be adopted by an active family who would take him on long walks and include him in all their activities. He doesn’t want to be a full-time couch potato, but he would definitely love to come inside after a good walk or run and cuddle up with his family. This smart boy is already house-trained and ready for the good, indoor life!

Jacks will go to his Forever Home neutered, dewormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. He is one of the most handsome, loyal friends you could ever hope to meet; could you be his Forever Family?
