Pet Of The Week – Jupiter

What do you get if you combine adorable, happy, snuggly, and playful all into one very special puppy?  You get Jupiter! Jupiter and his 7 siblings were born on January 11, 2024, just one day after their mom, Sunny, arrived at Green Hills Animal Shelter. Jupiter, along with his mom and siblings, lived with a foster until the pups were old enough to return to the shelter, and now this very special family is searching for very special Forever Families of their own.

Since arriving back at the shelter, Jupiter has started to show us his true personality and it is adorable! A DNA test tells us that Jupiter is 53% Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler), 21% Labrador Retriever, 20% Great Pyrenees, and 6% Australian Kelpie, and those genetics have resulted in Jupiter being the absolute perfect mix of playful, outgoing and snuggly! Jupiter is a confident, happy boy who loves going outside in the shelter play yard, where one of his favorite games is “try to catch me”. But once you catch him, Jupiter quickly becomes a snuggle bug, laying his head on your shoulder and enjoying the love. Jupiter’s mom has a very laid-back and loving personality, and we see that same easy temperament shine in Jupiter also.

If Jupiter could describe his perfect Forever Home he would tell us that he would like to be an indoor pup with a family who will shower him with attention and love. He would very much like to go on all his family’s adventures and be a part of everything they do! Jupiter loves everyone he meets and would be very happy to share his home with gentle children, a canine companion (perhaps even his mom or one of his siblings!), or even a canine-friendly kitty.

Jupiter will go to his Forever Home dewormed and up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations. Depending on his adoption date he will also be neutered or come with a voucher to complete his neuter on its pre-scheduled date in May. Jupiter will also arrive with a starter bag of Hill’s Science Diet puppy food to help him transition into his Forever Home.  He is the perfect bundle of sweetness and joy; wouldn’t you love to share your heart and home with him?
