Pet Of The Week – Rose

Please meet Rose!  Rose is a beautiful little tortoiseshell kitten who was only about 4 weeks old when she was found alone in a parking lot and brought to Green Hills Animal Shelter. Rose was very lucky that someone found her, as she is blind in one eye and has scar tissue that affects her vision on the other, and it would have been very hard for her to survive outside and alone.

Rose is now about 4 months old and is a sweet, happy kitten. The vet and staff have determined that she does have some sight in the eye with scar tissue, and she doesn’t seem to bothered by her vision impairment at all. As a matter of fact, you’ll find Rose happily playing, snuggling, and doing all the things that her other kitten friends do. She loves people, and is always happy to have a play session followed by snuggles and pets. She also loves other cats and would do well in a home with a kitty friend.

If Rose could describe her Forever Home, she would ask for an indoor-only home (because of her vision impairment, Rose cannot be allowed outdoors) with lots of treats, toys, and a warm lap to snuggle on. She would be quite happy to have a kitty friend, and she would most likely be quite accepting of a gentle doggie friend also, once she was used to them. Rose would also be fine with gentle children who understood about her vision impairment and that she couldn’t go outside.

Rose will go to her Forever Home spayed, de-wormed and up to date on all her vaccinations.  She is a very special kitty, who will bring so much love and happiness to her Forever Home.  Could that home be yours?
