Pet Of The Week – Sundance

Please say “hello” to Sundance! Sundance is an approximately 2-year-old, tan Corgi mix who recently arrived at Green Hills Animal Shelter along with his best friend, Butch.  Sundance and Butch (who is a black Corgi mix) were found alone and looking for a warm place to sleep, and were brought to the shelter in hopes that they would be able to find their way home. Sadly, no one ever came to claim them, and now Butch and Sundance are looking for a home where they will be loved forever.

Sundance, like his buddy Butch, is a very sweet dog who is quiet and gentle.  He may seem a little shy when he first meets you, but he warms up quickly and it doesn’t take long at all before his happy personality shines through.  Sundance, like his Corgi genetics dictate, is a very smart boy (did you know that corgis are considered a herding breed and are very intelligent and usually very easy to train?), and he is also very playful. And, of course, Sundance’s favorite playmate is his bonded buddy, Butch.

If Sundance could describe his perfect Forever Home, he would tell us that he would love an indoor home where he can spend lots of time with his family. He would be a wonderful all-around family dog, and would very much enjoy a home with children. Sundance also gets along well with other dogs and would be happy to have a canine playmate in his new home. And of course, Sundance would LOVE if he and his best buddy Butch could be adopted together. Adopting them together isn’t a requirement, but because they love each other so much, GHAS will offer a reduced adoption fee to a family who is willing to make sure these two friends get to stay together for life.

Sundance will go to his Forever Home neutered, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. He is a sweet boy who would like nothing more than to be loved; could you make his dream come true?

For more information on Sundance, his buddy Butch, or any of the pets waiting for their homes at Green Hills Animal Shelter, please phone the shelter at 660-359-2700 or stop by during open business hours.  We’d be so happy to meet you … and perhaps you’ll even leave with a new best friend!
